KARACHI: Seven more dengue viral fever cases were reported in Karachi on Monday, increasing the patients' toll to 549 during 2013 so far, said Dengue Surveillance Cell Sindh.
Dr M Shakeel Aamir Mullick focal person for Dengue Surveillance Cell Sindh said that a total of 562 dengue fever cases have been reported in Sindh province since January 2013, out of them 549 were reported in Karachi and 13 in rest of province.He said six dengue patients expired in Karachi this year.
Mullick further said that seven dengue patients were still admitted to different hospitals of in Karachi and seven new cases were reported in the city on 5th August.
