PM, Opposition Leader to hold key meeting after EID

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is expected to hold a key meeting with Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Khursheed Shah after Eid-ul-Fitr.
According to sources, the appointments of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman and Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) will be discussed during the meeting.The opposition leader had put up the names of Justice (retd) Rana Bhagwandas and Justice (retd) Sardar Raza Khan while the government proposed the names of Justice (retd) Rehmat Jaffery and Hassan Zaheer for the office of NAB chairman.

The two will also be tasked with appointing a new CEC following the resignation of Fakhruddin G Ebrahim.
