Rs 500,000 per family for Rajanpur flood victims

RAJANPUR (Online) - On the direction of Punjab Chief Minister Mian Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif a financial compensation of Rs 500,000 each will be provided to the families of four persons who had expired in the hill torrents in the Rajanpur area.
This was announced by Acting Speaker Punjab Assembly Sardar Sher Ali Gurchani during a visit to the torrent affected areas in Rajanpur on Sunday.
Meanwhile 94 truck-load of necessary daily-use relief goods have been dispatched to the flood affected areas of Rajanpur and D.G. Khan on the direction of Punjab Chief Minister.
According to the Director General of Provincial Disaster Management Authority these relief items include seven thousand seven hundred tents three thousand mosquito nets twenty five thousand mineral water bottles four thousand five hundred rice bags and two thousand food hampers.
