Ban on JI Bangladesh is unconstitutional: Munawar

LAHORE: Terming the Dhaka High Court's decision of banning Jamat-e-Islami in Bangladesh as partial and unconstitutional, Ameer Jamat e Islami (JI) Pakistan Syed Munawwar Hassan Munawwar Hassan has condemned the verdict.
According to an statement issued from Mansoora, Syed Munawwar Hassan said that JI Bangladesh was being the target of grudge and leaders of JI were being given death sentence and life imprisonment. At first it was war crime tribunals who made JI Bangladesh target of their vendetta and now the high court is following in their footsteps.
He further said that on the behest of India, Hasina Wajid was hatching conspiracy to separate public from JI and attempting to crush it, while Bangladeshi people were against Hasina Wajid and supporting the JI.

Millions of people were protesting daily on the roads against Bangladesh government, he added.
