Scrutiny of nomination papers of presidential candidates on Friday

ISLAMABAD: Scrutiny of nomination papers of the presidential candidates will begin
tomorrow morning.
According to a spokesman of ECP, Chief Election Commissioner Fakhruddin G. Ebrahim will scrutinize the nomination papers as presiding officer.
His decision regarding the acceptance or rejection of papers will be final. Presence of proposer and seconder is mandatory during the scrutinization of papers. However,
presidential candidates' presence in person is not necessary.

The candidates will be allowed to withdraw their candidature on Saturday till 12 noon, while the commission will display the final lists of candidates on same evening.
Polling for the presidential election will take place on July 30 in Parliament House and four provincial assemblies in respective provinces.
