LAHORE: Punjab Law Minister, Rana Sanaullah has stated that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) had not entered into an alliance with the Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM).
Speaking to the media, Sanaullah said the PML-N had only approached the MQM for their support in the presidential election. Our opinion of the MQM still remains the same. The Election Commission will investigate rigging allegations against MQM during the May 11 polls.
On July 26, the MQM announced that it will unconditionally support PML-N candidate Mamnoon Hussain after a meeting between leaders of both parties at MQM headquarters Nine Zero.
The presidential election will be held on July 30 and is being contested by the PML-Ns Mamnoon Hussain and PTI candidate Justice (retd) Wajihuddin Ahmed.
