All parties to be contacted to get support for Mamnoon Hussain: PM

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Thursday said all political parties would be contacted to get maximum support for the Pakistan Muslim League-N nominee in the upcoming presidential contest.
The Prime Minister was talking to Maulana Fazl ur Rehman who called on him here at the Prime Minister's Office.The Prime Minister said the President represents the federation and the PML-N had chosen a non-controversial figure from a smaller province for the slot with the objective of strengthening the federation.
During the meeting, impending presidential election and other matters of mutual interest came under discussion.Federal Minister for Finance Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Maulana Ghafoor Haidri and Akram Khan Durrani also attended the meeting.
