Transmission line fault: Parts of Karachi plunges into darkness

KARACHI: Large parts of the city plunged into darkness in the early hours of Sunday due to transmission line fault.
A spokesman for the Karachi Electricity Company Limited (KESC)said as many as 13 grid stations were affected after 220 KV transmission line tripped.
However, he claimed that power supply was restored to the affected areas after repair work was completed.
According to Geo News, Electricty supply to Gulshan-e-Hadid, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gulshan-e-Mamar, Federal B. Area and Gulastan-e-Jauhar was suspended in the wake of fault.
