Shahbaz orders foolproof security on Youm-e- Ali, Eid

LAHORE (Online): Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has directed that foolproof security arrangements should be made on the occasion of Youm-e Shahadat of Hazrat Ali (RA), Juma Tul Wida, Youm-e-Alquds and Eid-ul-Fitr.
He said that law enforcement agencies should remain fully alert for ensuring peaceful atmosphere and protection of life and property of the people.The Chief Minister also directed to constitute a cabinet committee headed by Law Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan to review the security arrangements on these occasions.
He said that the committee will visit entire province and review the security arrangements made by police and district administration.

He was presiding over a high level meeting for reviewing the law and order situation in the province here today which was attended by Minister for Local Government and Law Rana Sanaullah Khan, Minister for Environment Col(Retd) Shuja Khanzada, Chief Secretary, IG Police, Secretaries of Home, Auqaf, Information departments and senior officers of concerned departments.

He said that earlier, all resources have been provided for this purpose and will be provided in future as well.

He directed that foolproof security arrangements should be made on important occasions and elite force should be deputed at all important market on 147chand raat148.

He said that senior officers should personally remain in field for briefing of officials and reviewing security arrangements.

He directed the Auqaf Department to ensure uninterrupted light at the mazars of Hazrat Data Gunj Bakhsh, Bibi Pak Daman and others.

Earlier, Home Secretary, Inspector General Police and heads of law enforcement agencies gave detailed briefings with regard to law and order in the province. CCPO Lahore Ch. Shafique Ahmed and DIG Operations Rai Tahir Ahmed informed about the security arrangements made for Youm-e-Shahadat of Hazrat Ali, Juma Tul Wida, Youm-e-Alquds and Eid-ul-Fitr.
