'PTI wont object to consensus PPP-PML-N presidential candidate'

KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Inaf presidential candidate Justice (retd) Wajihuddin on Thursday said that his party would not object if the opposition and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz decided to bring a consensus candidate for the slot of the head of the state.Speaking at a news conference, he said that lawmakers could vote for any contender beyond their party affiliations.

He said that the PPP had not formally contacted the PTI to seek its support. However, he made it clear that his party would neither boycott the election nor would it give easy going to any party. He said that the Supreme Court had to take suo motu due to lack of good governance.
