QUETTA: At least three persons including a personnel of frontier corps were killed and six injured in an explosion at Pak Afghan border Chaman on Thursday.
Frontier Corps sources told Dawn.com that unknown persons had planted explosives in a hand cart near Friendship gate at the border.
"When an FC man was checking the cart, there was a huge blast", they said.
The FC man and two civilians were killed as result of blast.
Moreover, four FC personnel and two civilians also sustained injuries.All injured were shifted to nearby FC hospital for treatment.
"The condition of the FC personnel is stable, they are out of danger", the sources said.
Pak Afghan border was immediately closed after the blast.
A large number of law enforcers reached the spot as a probe into the incident went underway.
This incident comes a few days after a suicide bomber killed six persons including the Afghan border commander Akhtar Muhammad on the Afghan side of the border.There was no claim of responsibility.
