KARACHI: It was governments responsibility to unmask the third force as it said it was involved in disrupting peace in Karachis troubled Lyari neighbourhood, MQM leader Dr Farooq Sattar said on Tuesday.
We do not want to take the city towards a civil war. However, the public reserve the right of self defence in case justice is not served, said the Muttahida Qaumi Movement leader while speaking at an Iftar dinner hosted by the party for the displaced Katchi community of Lyari.
Condemning terrorism in the old city area of Karachi, he demanded the concerned state institutions to stop patronising the Gang War militants and take strict action against them.Sattar vowed to carry on with the partys peaceful struggle to eradicate the country of the militants.
Speaking on the occasion, another party leader Senator Babar Ghauri said patrons of Lyari Gang War are no hidden secret. He demanded to shun conspiracies against the MQM.
The party leaders urged Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan to play their role for restoring peace in Lyari. They also demanded the law enforcement agencies of taking indiscriminate action against the criminals
